Janell Weinstein is a family law attorney who earned a J.D. in 1991 from Hofstra University School of Law and a B.A. from Rutgers University, Douglass College in 1988. Upon receiving her law degree, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jonathan N. Harris, Judge of the Superior Court in Bergen County.

Weinstein’s areas of practice include family and matrimonial law, including divorce, child support, alimony, custody, post-divorce judgment matters, domestic violence, domestic partnerships and pre-marital agreements; real estate law, purchase, sale and refinancing issues. She also specialized in other areas of civil litigation.

Weinstein is admitted to the New Jersey Bar, New York Bar and the Southern District Court of New York. She is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the Bergen County Bar Association, along with its Family Law and Fee Arbitration Committees.

She is a Barrister for the New Jersey Family Law Inns of Court. She was previously an Early Settlement panelist for the Family Part, and a panel member for a matrimonial seminar conducted by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education.

Weinstein has appeared as a guest commentator for Court TV n/k/a TruTV, as well on Sirus Satelite Radio, and the U.K.'s "GMTV." She is a volunteer at the Women’s Rights Information Center in Englewood, New Jersey.
