Lynn Strober, Family Law Attorney
Lynne is an attorney with the law firm Mandelbaum, Salsburg, Gold, Lazris & Discenza where she co-chairs the Family Law Department and handles all aspects of divorce litigation, including complex equitable distribution matters, alimony, child support, child custody, parenting time, pre-nuptial agreements and adoptions.
She was admitted to the practice of law in New Jersey in 1978. She is a member of the Essex County, New Jersey State and American Bar Associations.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, New Jersey Chapter. Since 1998, Lynne has served as Chair of the Matrimonial Certification Committee; she was appointed to this position by the Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Lynne is the former Chair of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (1992-1993) and is also the former Chair of the Essex County Bar Association Family Law Section Executive Committee (1988 -1991).
In 1993, she received the Essex County Bar Association Family Law Attorney Achievement Award.
Lynne has published numerous articles in the New Jersey Family Lawyer and she is on the Board of Editors of the Matrimonial Strategist, a nationwide publication. She lectures extensively to lawyers and judges for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, N.J. Chapter.
At the request of the Essex County Bar Association, Lynne serves as the attorney representative on the Security Committee, which oversees the safety of the Essex County Court System. For more than a decade she served on the Family Law Section Executive Committee of both the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Essex County Bar Association.
Lynne was appointed and served for several years on the Supreme Court Family Division Practice Committee and has served on the Supreme Court Family and Civil Motions Practice Committee and other Bar Association committees. She was reappointed by the Supreme Court to serve as a member of the Domestic Violence Working Group (2002-2004 term).
Lynne has appeared on numerous television stations discussing family law issues including ABC, MSNBC, WORTV, The Home Shopping Network and various cable shows. She has also spoken on various radio programs. Lynne has been featured in interviews in various newspapers and publications.
In 2005 Lynne was recognized as one of the "Top 50 Women and Minorities in the Legal Profession", having been selected because of her significant contributions to the development of family lawe in New Jersey.
Lynne has an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell.
