Bio:

 

Debra Holland, MS Ph.D, is a licensed marriage and family therapist. For two decades, she has counseled and coached individuals, couples and groups in communication and relationship issues.

She is the author of Rules of Engagement: How to Have a Boundary Setting Conversation With a Difficult Person and the co-author of a book for men entitled,Accelerate to Love: How to Jumpstart Her Heart, Shift Romance Into High Gear and Win the Relationship Race. 

Dr. Debra worked for American Airlines after the September 11th terrorists attacks in 2001, counseling flight crews and staff. In 2005, she spent time in Louisiana as a Hurricane Katrina mental health relief worker. She has traveled around the country, speaking on topics such as: trauma and grief recovery; relationships; communication skills, stress reduction; and understanding male/female brain differences.

In addition to her psychotherapy practice, Dr. Debra is a consultant to the film and television industry. She wrote the "Ask the Love Doctor" column for Arabella, a romance magazine. Her current column, "Ask Dr. Debra" can be found on her website drdebraholland.com.
