Divorced Gals Take Off Wedding Rings—But Michelle Obama???

What an incredible day for America, we all felt freedom sing...
but where oh where was Michelle Obama's wedding ring?

Did anyone else notice that Michelle Obama wasn't wearing a wedding ring last night? I couldn't get enough of flipping through the endless online pictures of our new fabulous first couple last night. In fact, I now think I officially have a crush on Barack. Sorry. I also have a thing for big rings and felt a kinship with Michelle when I got a load of hers. Wow! but Whoa, I thought to myself..where the heck is her wedding ring?

Hmmm that's odd. Divorced gals know that married men sometimes don't wear their weddings rings...Ahem! But married women are rarely missing theirs. So why didn't our new married first lady have hers on?

As I was staring at a close-up of her pretty pink manicure pondering this, I imagined how wound up she must have been trying to sit still in front of the manicurist ...knowing what was ahead of her. And you know how you have to take your rings off and put them in that little tray during a manicure? Well maybe with all the adrenaline pumping she just walked out and forgot the ring and had no time to go back.

That's one of my theories...my other theory is that she read about J Lo.

Jennifer Lopez says she didn't wear her wedding ring to the Golden Globes because her look had already reached the appropriate amount of "You want a piece of this?" desperation and any further sign of her being married would have clashed. If you are the new first lady, you definitely don't want to clash at the big bash.

Theory number three about it falling down the drain right before the party is also moot because that would be a cakewalk for any one of those hunky CIA guys who major in extricating things.

All I can say is I hope Michelle isn't starting a trend for married women...because that would really make it hard for people to distinguish between them and us divorced gals.
