Floral 'Piece de Resist-You'

Her ex-boyfriend sent a dozen white roses to her work — the trading floor on Wall Street. Not exactly an ideal place to receive flowers, not to mention everyone saw the flower delivery dude waltz them in.

She called me, completely embarrassed, because all her male co-workers were harassing her. Beyond that, she just couldn't figure out why her ex would do that. What was the message?

As it was Friday, I told her he was probably feeling frisky.

You see, the roses were white, not red. One of the women in her office said that white roses represent ‘peace.' I said "I think that is piece as in piece of ass."

My now-ex-husband used to send me the biggest, most tacky bouquets after a fight. They were so big they would loom over my desk, a bright, cheery reminder of just how unhappy I was.

What is it with guys and sending flowers when they screw up? Why don't they take the time to send them when the relationship is going well, instead of when it starts to hit the skids?
