Debbie's Pulling Up The Shades
A behind-the-scenes peek at FWW
I feel it's time to pull up the shades a little and let you see what it's taking to create a resource and community of this potential magnitude from a woman's perspective.
Since I spend the majority of my time doing business ... thinking entrepreneurially and strategically to grow this community, I'm going to start sharing some of what goes on with me behind the scenes here as one of the founding partners. I haven't expressed much of that side of me to you guys and something tells me you might find some of it valuable.
My business card title "Chief Executive Girlfriend" always gets a rise. I came up with it so people would "get" me quick. I am serious but I am fun. I like to think I am a woman's woman and a guy's girl. Mostly though, I am one of you. I am a champion, and I do my best every day to lead the way on your behalf to affect some form of positive change in a warm way. It feels right.
As the CEG, you see me here interviewing guests from the Empire State Building and writing funny articles, and I love, love, love it. However, if you asked me what I most want to be best respected for, I'd have to honestly say being an innovative businesswoman — a dynamic out-of-the-box entrepreneur! Who do you think bartered the Empire State Building?
I take chances. Maybe I will inspire you to take a few of your own. I am constantly researching, reading, coming up with business ideas, making contacts, taking risks and executing. I have won and I have lost. However, in all my years of business, I have never seen a project roar like this one. I call it "All Green Lights"!
First Wives World is especially exciting to me professionally, because I get to do everything I love to do at once. Deals, strategizing, writing, interviewing and connecting people for business and pleasure. It is the convergence of all my life's work, contacts and talents. I know what I am great at by now and I can admit what I don't do well.
Thankfully, I have partners who are brilliant and a superstar team of associates who are sizzling with talent. This project is moving on fast forward and there is no pause button. The positive impact that this "work in progress" is having on the lives of so many is nothing short of awesome. If you are searching in your own soul for something in your work or business life to be passionate about, maybe something you read here at some point will spark you.
To Be Continued...

You are an inspiration to me. I wish you were around 10 years ago. I was always afraid to step out of my box..Grew up in a very farmy and country area..
I can dream through you and your friends post. When I started grammology at 60 it was a big step. I blog by night and work by day to pay the bills. It's been wonderful. I hope I am able to be successful, however, in blogging I'm so new, I don't know what constitutes success. I do know I feel great about what I'm doing and even though I have a partner..they allow me to do whatever I want on this site. It's been a dream come true at my age, saying and doing whatever I want.
You, are amazing and I wish you the best..
